FPA Member Royal Fumigation Joins Refrigerated Transportation Board
Anne Bookout, Esq.,
Vice President and General Counsel
Royal Fumigation Inc.
April 2005
The Food Protection Alliance (FPA) is pleased to announce that Anne Bookout, Vice President & General Counsel of FPA member Royal Fumigation Inc., has been named to the board of directors of the International Refrigerated Transportation Association (IRTA). “This is an exciting time to be associated with IRTA,” Ms. Bookout said. “IRTA is facing new challenges and opportunities. Royal’s experience in quarantine fumigation of refrigerated commodities and its expertise in post-fumigation cooling give me a perspective from which to contribute to the organization.”
IRTA is an international organization for the refrigerated transportation industry that has branched out from its beginnings in the maritime setting to encompass all refrigerated transportation. It also collaborates with the International Association of Refrigerated Warehouses and the World Food Logistics Organization on conferences and other joint efforts.
FPA, an Alliance of fumigation companies in North America, offers specialized fumigation services to the food industry. “FPA’s members have very different specialties,” comments Ms. Bookout. “Royal is the quarantine fumigator and the fresh produce fumigator. Greater involvement in IRTA will only benefit FPA by bringing even more resources within our collective expertise.”
